Art licensing is basically renting artwork from a designer or artist for a specific amount of time.
You pay a fee to the licensor (the artist) to use the artwork according to the terms you have both agreed upon.
There a a few different types of licenses. You may license my design(s) non-exclusively or exclusively.
Note: You do not need a license to sell finished goods you have crafted with fabric purchased from my Spoonflower shop.

A little bit of my portfolio can be viewed here on my website. My full portfolio can be viewed in my Spoonflower store which will give you a good idea of my work. Design's in my Spoonflower store can be licensed non-exclusively. If you get in touch with me via my licensing enquiry form, we can chat more about your project and what you need!

A non-exclusive license is where you select any existing design of mine to be printed by a manufacturer of your choice and sell it as finished goods in one category (example: Baby clothing). I will hold the copyright of the design. The design will continue to be available for other companies to use through a non-exclusive license. And people will still be able to purchase the design through websites I sell on, such as my Spoonflower store).

An exclusive license means no other brands or small makers may be using the same design. Under this license you may select one or several pattern designs to use for a limited period of time on your own products.
Before any design work begins, usage terms for an exclusive license are negotiated and agreed upon by all parties. I will continue to keep all usage rights of the design where the usage terms are not outlined in the agreement. For example, if you have exclusively licensed a design to be used for Baby Apparel, I can license the design in a different category like Home Decor. I will continue to hold copyright and ownership of the design.

Yes, all my designs repeat seamlessly on all four sides. This will allow you to have the pattern printed continuously.
